• National Technical Honor Society 

    Mission:  To honor student achievement and leadership in career and technical education, promote educational excellence, award scholarships, and enhance career opportunities for the NTHS membership.

    Vision:  To be the international leader in providing recognition for excellence in career and technical education.

    Qualifications for National Technical Honor Society:

    • 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA
    • 3.5 or higher GPA for Career & Technical Courses
    • Must have a minimum of 3 Career & Technical courses in a sequence (Example for Health Science:  Orientation to Health Science, Foundations of Health Science, Human Body Structures and Functions)
    • Must been an active member of your Career & Technical Service Organization (Example for Health Science:  HOSA)

    Student's interested in becoming members of National Technical Honor Society must complete an application and submit it via email to ahsteinert@madisoncity.k12.al.us & pmcollins@madisoncity.k12.al.us

    Membership to NTHS is by invitation only once verfification that all requirements have been met by the applicant. The cost is $35.  

    Member benefits include a newly designed custom portfolio, which has an ID card, custom certificate, white tassel with NTHS drop, lapel pin, window decal and a seal to be affixed to their certificate or diploma at graduation. Honor cords are available for purchase in the Spring.


    Members can log in and apply for our scholarships, as well as request letters of recommendation and use our online career center. In 2016, our board approved scholarships totaling over a quarter-million dollars.
