I hold an Education Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership. I served as a math teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal in the Hale County School System. I served six years as principal at Hale County High School. Additionally, I served as principal of Thomasville High School, Tuscaloosa Middle School, and Rock Quarry Middle School. I served as the first principal of Rock Quarry Middle School for three years in the Tuscaloosa City School System.

Bio

I am married to Karen Anderson Clayton and am the proud father of two sons Battle, and Landers.  I am originally from Eutaw, Alabama.  I am an alum of the University of Alabama.  I have served the public schools of Alabama as a math teacher, assistant principal, and principal.  My hobbies include traveling and watching Alabama football.  We are extremely excited to be in Madison City Schools.

Beliefs

I believe that all children can learn given the circumstance needed by the learner.  I believe that teaching is an art that can be enhanced by learning the skills needed to instruct.  I believe that the 21st Century learner has to be apt in skills of information acquisition and the ability to present the information through many avenues.

Dr. Kerry Donaldson

Biography:

Kerry Donalson Jr. is originally from Nashville, Tennessee and has been married to Jacquelynn Donaldson for 11 wonderful years. He played college basketball at Chattanooga State Technical community College and at Athens State University. Kerry currently lives in Athens Alabama, and has been in education for 16 years. Before administration, he began his career at Athens Middle School as a Health and Physical Education teacher where he coached basketball for eight years and football for four years. He also was an adjunct instructor for six years at Athens State University. This is his 8th year serving as an administrator. Kerry Donaldson Jr. began his flight as a Jet during the 2018-2019 school year and has been very excited to be here.

Mrs. Jennifer Flanagan

Educational Experience:

Jennifer Flanagan received a Bachelors Degree in Secondary English Language Arts Education from The University of Alabama in 2010 and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2014.  Mrs. Flanagan began her career with Madison City Schools in 2010 as an English teacher, coach, and sponsor of many activities at Bob Jones High School. In her new role as Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction at James Clemens High School, her focus remains with students and ensuring that each JC Jet will take flight in the journey to success.

Biography:

Mrs. Flanagan was born in Huntsville, Alabama and has called Madison "home" her entire life. She is a proud graduate of Madison City Schools (Bob Jones High School). After graduating with honors from The University of Alabama, she moved back home and right away began her passion of working with students. She has been married to her husband, Michael, since September 2013. In 2017, the Flanagan family welcomed their first child, a baby girl named McKinley Rae.

Mrs. Allison Miller

 Biography:

Mrs. Miller was born in Birmingham, Alabama and grew up in the suburb of Pinson.  After graduating from Auburn University, she moved to the Madison area and has called this area home ever since.  She has been married to her husband, Scott, since July 2001.  They have been blessed with two beautiful girls, Ansley (2007) and Chloe (2009).  Mrs. Miller began her career with Madison City Schools in 2000 as a math teacher at Liberty Middle School.  She served as the Instructional Partner at Discovery Middle School during the 2013-2014 school year.  She began her flight as Assistant Principal of Instruction during the 2014-2015 school year.
