  • Chemistry Club (or Chem Club) is an organization focused on exposing students to chemical concepts, real-world applications, and hands-on experiences that go beyond the typical high school course of study. Students will participate in demonstrations and experiments at school.  Students will also have opportunities to demonstrate science concepts in local elementary and middle schools to ignite interest in STEM-based careers. Student will hear from guest speakers that have chemistry-based careers and may also choose to participate in community-based science fairs.

    Cost: $25 (Cash or Check written to JCHS).  This gets you a Chem Club shirt and open access to all club activities.  

    Chemistry Club will have monthly meetings on Group 4 Club rotation on Thursdays (1st half of Refuel in Room A110).  Guest speaker presentation dates will be announced at club meeting dates and via club messaging systems (GroupMe). See Mrs. Steele (Room A110) or Mrs. Harris (Room D210) for specific meeting dates.

    You may not participate until you return the signed lab safety sheet.  T-shirts will be distributed as soon as the order arrives.
