Dr. Kristin Hartland
This is my fourth year teaching Mathematics at James Clemens High School and I am so very excited to help students explore mathematics in a variety of ways!
Prior to joining the Jets team, I taught in the Mathematics and Education departments at UAH and tutored students from around the area virtually. During this time I completed my Doctorate in Mathematics Education from MTSU. Overall, I have 14 years of experience teaching high school mathematics and 7 years of experience teaching at the college level in Texas, Massachusetts, Tennessee, and Alabama.
I live here in Madison with my amazing husband of 19 (almost 20) years who works for NASA, my two extraordinary daughters who also attend school here in Madison City, and our two dogs: Old Man Rango and Young Sweet Rose.
While I am not teaching mathematics, I am a Soccer Mom (my oldest daughter lives, plays, and breathes soccer for the JC Soccer team and USC) and a Softball Mom (my youngest daughter lives, plays, and breathes softball for Madison Softball League and is looking forward to trying out for the Liberty softball team). I also enjoy Bowling and have attended the Women's National Competition (multiple times all over the U.S.) which led me to becoming the JC Women's Bowling Coach for a fourth year :-)
