• ABOUT CTE COURSES THAT MRS. HEARRINGTON TEACHES:

    STEM is a great introductory course that exposes you to all of the great technological design fields: transportation, energy and power, agriculture and biotechnology, manufacturing, architecture and construction, information and communication, and medical technology. I love the variety of this class and the fun, hands-on projects that we do. A highlight of the course is the TSA Inventions & Innovations project. You students always surprise me with your innovation and creativity!

    In 2021, I went full circle by teaching Flight & Space as I have always loved aerospace technology, history and development (grew up near a city airport), was in the Civil Air Patrol cadet program for three years in high school, and was Female Cadet of the Year in Civil Air Patrol for the State of Florida my senior year. We have a great time in this class making things fly and "blowing" things up!

    I love teaching Green Architecture, as well, because you get to design, measure, and build many things, including a house!

    Digital Publishing Tools is a great way to hone your touch typing skills and ramp up your Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, and Slides abilities. Get ready to dig deeper and stop hunting and pecking at those keys like a chicken!
