Welcome to Robotics Club at LMS!
We meet most Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:20-5:00 in Purple Pod near Room 110 (we do not meet on half-days).
Who We Are: Robotics Club is open to any LMS student with any level of experience with robotics (newcomers welcome!)
What We Do: From September to February, students will collaborate through the engineering and design process to design, build, and test robots that will compete in VEX IQ competitions, which are typically held on Saturdays. Students will learn important academic and life skills, such as teamwork, organization, problem-solving, perseverance, communication, and professionalism. There are roles available for a variety of interests and skills, such as researcher, builder, coder, notebook manager, and driver. If students make it to State, they will compete in February, and then if they make it Worlds or go to TSA, they will compete in April. After the competition season has ended, students are still welcome to come and practice building whatever they like!
When We Meet: 3:30-5:00 most Mondays and Wednesdays
Where We Meet: Outside Purple Pod 110
Fees: Currently, there is a $50 fee that can be paid online or by cash/check to the bookkeeper Ms. Baker (front office). This fee covers team registration for competitions. This amount may increase depending on if we have team shirts or if we make it to State or Worlds.
