• Welcome to Robotics Club at LMS!

For the 2024-2025 school year, we will have an interest meeting in late August and will begin meeting regularly in early September. Meeting days will be determined after the interest meeting to best fit everyone's schedule.

What We Do: From September to February, students will collaborate through the engineering and design process to design, build, and test robots that will compete in VEX IQ competitions, which are typically held on Saturdays. Students will learn important academic and life skills, such as teamwork, organization, problem-solving, perseverance, communication, and professionalism. There are roles available for a variety of interests and skills, such as researcher, builder, coder, notebook manager, and driver. If students make it to State, they will compete in Auburn in February, and then if they make it Worlds, they will compete in Dallas in April. Students can also choose to attend the TSA State Conference in Montgomery in April 2025.

When We Meet: 3:30-5:00 twice a week (specific days determined after initial interest meeting)

    Where We Meet: TBA

Fees: There will be an $80 fee that can be paid online or by cash/check to the bookkeeper Ms. Baker (front office). This fee covers team registration for competitions. This amount may increase depending on if we have team shirts or if we make it to State or Worlds.

Current Game (24-25 Season): Rapid Relay (see video below)
