My name is Morgan Dew, I am a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who is in her second year of teaching with Madison City Schools. If we want to get fancy with it, Morgan Dew, CPNP-PC, MSN, RN. When I heard about the district bringing the Health Science program down to the middle schools I knew that I had to be a part of implementing this program.
I graduated from Troy University with by Bachelor's of Science in Nursing in 2014 and began my nursing career at Children's of Alabama in the Operating Room. I quickly added the role of Pediatric Clinician a year later and served for 5 years in the Neurosurgery Department as clinician for their chief of Neurosurgery. During this time I returned to school and completed my Masters of Science in Nursing in 2021. In addition to working with Madison City Schools, I prn at the local children's urgent care.
This year I will be teaching the Health Science Courses: Introduction to Careers in Healthcare, Orientation to Healthcare, and Medical Detectives.
On a personal note, I am married, mother of four beautiful girls. I enjoy reading (love Harry Potter), coffee, and teaching everyone about Health Care!
