Hello, and welcome to 8th Grade Honors English Language Arts, Digital Communications, and Creative Writing! My name is Kassidy Hutchison, and I am thrilled to be your teacher this year! I am a California-born, Memphis-bred, Bama grad with a passion for creative expression in all of its avenues. I love having the opportunity to work with students the same age I was when I knew I wanted to become a teacher. I believe in the power of literature, and I love the way books open our minds to new perspectives and world views. This is an outcome I strive to achieve in my class as we grow in kindness and empathy together. 

I earned my B.S. in Secondary Education English Language Arts from the University of Alabama in 2018, where I had the opportunity to teach English as a foreign language in Germany. Upon returning, I began my teaching career in Tennessee before moving to the Huntsville area. I have been teaching at Liberty Middle School since 2019, and I have since earned my M.A. in Educational Psychology from the University of Alabama.

I am married to my wonderful husband, and we have four rescue pets: two cats and two dogs. In my free time I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending time with my family. I am excited to continue to grow here as a teacher at LMS. Go Lions & Roll Tide!
