Head Coach | Liberty Middle School Lions

I am a passionate leader dedicated to developing student-athletes both on and off the field. With a strong emphasis on discipline, accountability, academics, and character, I strive to build a program rooted in hard work, teamwork, and community pride. As Head Coach of the Liberty Middle School Lions, I focus on preparing young athletes for success for the next level while teaching life lessons that extend far beyond sports. My coaching philosophy centers around effort, commitment, and creating an environment where every player has the opportunity to grow and compete. Known for my energy, leadership, and commitment to youth development, I believe in building not only better athletes, but better young men.

Originally from Montgomery, Alabama, I have been in the Huntsville area since college in 2001 while attending Alabama A&M University. I am an accomplished middle school football and basketball coach with over 17 years of experience. Prior to Liberty, I held the various positions of Head Coach, Assistant Coach, and Offensive Coordinator at Chapman Middle School with a record of 23-2 with 1 City Championship. I held the Defensive Line Coaching position in 2020 and 2021 seasons at Liberty Middle School. This season, we are focused on continuing a tradition of excellence. With championships in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, our goal is to uphold that winning standard while developing every player to their fullest potential. I have been married for 17 years to my wife, Shaundrika Edwards, and we have two daughters, Makenzie (14), and Laiyah (10). 

My name is Coach Edwin Watson. I served as the offensive line coach, as well as the co-offensive coordinator(run game coordinator). I gained experience of being a lineman at a young age, playing football throughout my youth and during college. After high school, I was a part of the football team at Alabama A&M University. This will be my 9th year coaching at Liberty, but I have over 15 years of coaching experience in Madison County. My coaching motto is "If you do your job, the rest will take care of itself". My career highlights include five 8th Grade Madison County Championships, and two 7th Grade Madison County Championships. I have been a part of a historic run, winning 4 county championships in a row. It has been a great ride developing young men on and off of the field. Many have gone on to play football on the collegiate level. 

This will be my third year working with the LMS Football Team. I graduated from Auburn University with a Kinesiology Degree in 2021. Looking forward to working with the Defensive Backs this year at Liberty. 

My name is Antwon Bradley. This upcoming season will be my second season coaching football and my second year teaching at Liberty Middle School. I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree while continuing to grow as an educator and coach.

Building and developing strong, positive relationships while instilling character and discipline in young men is a major foundation of the game of football. The culture and standard that have been established at LMS are truly top notch, and I am excited to continue contributing to that tradition.

Working not only with the running backs, but with the entire team, my goal is to bring out the greatest potential in every student-athlete both on and off the field.
