Hi! My name is Caitlyn Slayton. I will be teaching 7th grade math and 7th grade accelerated math this year. I recently graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with dual degrees in Secondary Education and Mathematical Sciences. I have had the opportunity to work with grades 6-12 during my time in college, but I fell in love with the middle school environment. 

I am from Winchester, TN, which is about an hour north of here or an hour and a half south of Nashville. It is a very small town, but we do have a lake. I love water skiing, but I have not been able to this year since it keeps raining. I was also a competitive swimmer for fifteen years. My sister went D1 in swimming and was on the University of Alabama's team. However, I retired when I graduated from high school. I have done many other random sports throughout my life as well, but my attention span was not strong enough to stick with any of those. While I am sad summer is ending, I am so excited to start my first year at Liberty. I can't wait to meet all of you!
