Education

Mrs. Sims attended the University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama and earned her bachelor’s degree in Instrumental Music Education.

Experience

Mrs. Sims began her teaching career in 2017 as the Assistant Band Director at Brewer High School and two of its feeder schools: Eva School and Cotaco School. She then made her move to Madison City in 2018 where she currently works as a Band Director at Liberty Middle School.

Biography

Mrs. Sims is a native of Athens, AL. She met her husband, Brian Sims, in college, and the two have been happily married since 2016. Mr. and Mrs. Sims have a son named Wyatt and a miniature australian shepherd named Nixie! Mrs. Sims is a member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) and the Alabama Bandmasters Association (ABA). Both Mr. and Mrs. Sims work for Madison City Schools and have loved every moment.
