Biography

Hello my name is Sara DeYoung and I am ecstatic to be part of the Liberty Middle School team.  I spent my first 13 years teaching at Garfield High School in Prince William County, VA as a collaborative inclusion teacher prior to joining Madison City Schools 6 years ago, where I taught as an Elementary inclusion teacher at Heritage Elementary School.  I am personally invested in the success of our city's children and am proud to say that both of my kids also attend Madison City Schools.  Prior to becoming a teacher, I attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA and the University of Mary Washington where I received a Bachelors of Science degree in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Education, respectively.  I am excited to work with each and everyone of you.  Go Lions!
