WHAT IS GREENPOWER?
We are a fun-filled group of sixth-eighth graders who enjoy being around the outdoors & racetrack through building, enhancing, & maintaining our modified (No. 8) and stock (No. 31) racecars.
We have drivers, pushers, pit crew members, timers, public relations staff, and others who want to be in a collaborative environment consisting of positive teamwork, friendship, and skill-building.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
One must complete the online application form and send it to Head Coach Albert Ball at amball@madisoncity.k12.al.us no later than March 3, 2024. There will be a $100 flat fee for participation in the season.
WHEN IS GREENPOWER SEASON?
We begin practicing in October, and our first race usually follows in November, depending on the schedule. We try to practice at least once per month.
HOW CAN I SPONSOR GREENPOWER?
We will gladly accept any donations which will help offset trip costs as well as costs for tools, parts, or any other necessary items for the car or the team.
There are also various sponsorship ranks including: Lion sponsors ($5,000+), Cub sponsors ($2,500+), Orange sponsors ($1,000+), and white sponsors ($500+). Donations can be made to the school via check in a closed, stamped envelope to ensure the donation finds its way to our school administration. Your logo will also appear on our car and signs to promote you or your business as an LMS sponsor.
