Welcome to Robotics Club at LMS!
Current information for the 25-26 school year is coming soon! There will be an Interest Meeting held mid-August that any interested students and parents are welcome to attend. The date, time, and location will be announced via flyers and through the school newsletter, as well as posted on this webpage.
What We Do: From September to February, students will collaborate through the engineering and design process to design, build, and test robots that will compete in VEX IQ competitions, which are typically held on Saturdays. Students will learn important academic and life skills, such as teamwork, organization, problem-solving, perseverance, communication, and professionalism. There are roles available for a variety of interests and skills, such as researcher, builder, coder, notebook manager, and driver. If students make it to State, they will compete in Auburn in February, and then if they make it Worlds, they will compete in Dallas in April.
When We Meet: TBA (Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 3:30-5:00 pm are what have worked well in the past)
Where We Meet: Blue 238, and then we will go down to Purple Pod CTE Lab together
Fees: There will be an $80 fee that can be paid online or by cash/check to the bookkeeper Ms. Baker (front office). This fee covers team registration for competitions and a T-shirt.
