My name is Jon Campbell and I am looking forward to beginning my tenth year at Bob Jones! 

A little about me, I have had the pleasure of being married to my beautiful wife Bethany for the last eleven years! My wife and I are blessed to have welcomed home our son. Jacson, in 2019!  Although I grew up in Huntsville, I have moved around quite a bit during my professional and scholastic years. I received my Bachelors of Fine Arts from The University of Montevallo, my Associate's Degree from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, and I received my M.A.E. in Secondary Education with a concentration in English Language Arts at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.

To my classroom, I bring a passion to create a thought-provoking and energetic atmosphere in which students can become successful readers and writers. It is my hope to utilize my strong background in Theater to encourage student interest in learning. Although I am new to Bob Jones, my teaching experience spans 7th through 12th-grade classes including regular, International Baccalaureate, and inclusion classes.

The reason I want to pursue a career teaching English and Theater relates directly to my experiences in middle school and in high school. I have been a performer for most of my life, so it is fitting that the instructors that had the greatest effect on me as a student were my directors and English teachers. They taught me to love reading and acting, and also helped develop a desire to teach and direct. Any of the success I have had in my career is directly linked to them. Their inspiration and passion continue to motivate me today.
