My name is Jesse Tilton and I'm very excited to be a Patriot Player! Here's a little bit about me...

TEACHING EXPERIENCE:

I'm starting my 24th year of teaching. I've taught at Hoover High School for 3 years (1995-1998), Spain Park High School for 10 years (2001-2011), and Mountain Brook High School for 10 years (2011-2021). At every school I have taught a variety of subjects, like 9th Grade English, Speech, Technical Theater, and Art of Cinema but my main focus has been as a theater teacher who emphasizes the technical elements in shows. Even though the programs I have been a part of have all garnered many awards, that isn't the best part of teaching theater--it's inspiring students to reach their fullest potential as they develop as artists. That's my passion and it's also the legacy of Bob Jones Theater. I'm proud to be a part of such an amazing program and to work with such a wonderful colloaborative partner as Mrs. Mary Davis. We love working with students and making sure they have effective, challenging, and engaging experiences. Whether it is peforming, designing, or building, we look forward to working with all of our students and providing them with unique, creative, and hands-on learning opportunities.

PERSONAL:

I've been married to my wonderful wife for 24 years. I have two sons who both graduated from Helena High School. In a whirlwind of events, both my wife and I took on new jobs which have landed us here in Madision. We are thankful to be here and excited for the new adventure!
