Destination Imagination
Overview
-
Destination Imagination is the world's largest creative problem-solving program for students. Focusing on teaching students how to solve team-based, interdisciplinary challenges without adult intervention, DI has helped students learn more about how to hone their STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) skills since its inception in 1999. Bob Jones High School has had at least one DI team since 2003, following the lead of Discovery Middle School, which has had DI teams since 1999.
DI teams meet after school, in the evenings, and on weekends - the meeting schedule is individualized by teams, which are led by background-checked parent/community volunteers under the oversight and leadership of Mrs. Dauma (BJHS) and Mrs. Hughes (DMS). During the 2021-22 school year, DI teams will have the option to meet virtually.
Read and sign the first two pages of the Application Packet (linked at the bottom of this page) and then complete the 2021-2022 Application Packet in order to be placed on a BJHS or DMS DI team this year. If you need a hard copy of the Application packet, contact Mrs. Dauma or Mrs. Hughes.
