Greetings,

I am Ms. Holden.  I currently teach Chemistry I at Bob Jones.   

I am a native of Madison, Alabama.  I am a graduate of The University of Alabama at Birmingham were I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.  I also possess a Master of Education in Secondary Education with a concentration in Chemistry.  

Before starting at Bob Jones, I worked in industry.  After six years of service, I pursued and completed my Master's Degree in Secondary Education-Chemistry at Alabama A&M University.   With a passion & focus on developing, implementing, & delivering effective instruction, I also obtained my Instructional Leadership Certification from Samford University. 

I believe that every student, provided encouragement and proper skills, can and will succeed!  One of the most profound quotes that I intill in my students is ..."Success is a matter of preparation meeting opportunity!". 

Additionally, I  have served as an Alabama Reading Initiative Facilitator,  Coach of the Junior Varsity Basketball Cheerleaders(2002-2005),  and Sponsor for the  National Society of Black Engineers Junior Chapter (NSBE,Jr.).  

Currently, I serve as sponsor for the Chemistry Club & Junior Class.
