Congrats to BJ Swim & Dive as both teams competed at State in Auburn! Our Girls team WON the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!! Our Boys finished 5th in State! Their season was absolutely outstanding! Two years ago, our Girls won 3rd in State & last year, our Girls won 2nd. So, they have been building toward their State Championship for this year! Congrats to Coach Wade Thaxton, our student-athletes & to our supportive parents! This is a fantastic accomplishment for our school & our community! Tradition has it that the principal & coach takes a dip in the pool when their team wins State. I was so happy to end up in the pool to celebrate with our Girls Championship team! A state championship is a big accomplishment!

Congrats to BJ E-Sports in finishing regular season as #2 in state in League of Legends & finishing #1 in Rocket League! In Madden, we finished #1 & #2 in state. Super Smash finished #10 in state!  BJ Fusion won the 1st round of playoffs and Splatoon won their 1st round of playoffs.

Congrats to Boys Basketball who took the win & played well against Sparkman! Way to go!

BJ Patriot Players performed at STATE at Troy University with our 1-Act comedy and individual events. Our 1-Act play WON Best in Show, Best Costumes & was selected to represent Alabama at SETC in March! What an amazing and talented team of students who train as actors, student directors, editing, technicians, sound, lighting, set build, costuming, make-up & more! Our team has worked & trained for months & have won best in State. It takes so many students, parent support and talented directors to organize and implement this feat. Congrats to Directors Mrs. Mary Davis & Mr. Jesse Tilton! We had 4 selected as All-Star Cast: Harley Dauma, Dylan Henrie, Marcello Mancusi, Saige Keck.  Dylan Henrie took Best Supporting Actor as the Old Vet. In the Individual Events, the following were STATE winners:

1st: Alyssa Murley/Sam Klasing, George Lifambe, Steven Rogers/Quincy Wiggins.

2nd: Marcello Mancusi, Ashley Maggert, Drayton Walker/Carson Cartwright, Tatianna Mikel/Harley Dauma.
