We now have 2 full weeks plus FINAL EXAMS remaining in this semester! Students need to focus & continue to work diligently in all of their classes. It is a goal to have EVERY student Finish Strong!
Final Exam Schedules:
May 14: Senior Final Exams 3rd Block & 4th Block (Full Day Schedule for Seniors)
May 15: Senior Final Exams 1st Block & 2nd Block (Seniors Dismissal after 2nd Block). Last Day for Seniors.
May 20: Final Exams for 9th, 10th & 11th graders-1st & 2nd Blocks (Half Day for Students)
May 21: Final Exams for 9th, 10th & 11th graders-3rd & 4th Blocks (Half Day for Students)
Save the Date: BJ Art Show - Monday, May 12 & BJ Choir Concert - Tuesday, May 13!
BJ Band had their concerts last Mon & Tues with Symphonic, Percussion, Jazz & Winds as we have so many talented students within our Fine Arts programs!
BJ Patriot Racing competed in the National Championship Race at the Talladega Superspeedway in a tight race until the very end with 47 high School teams on the track. BJ Blue (F24 Advanced Modified) finished 2nd place in Nationals! BJ Red (F24 Advanced Modified) finished 1st place National Champions! BJ White (F24 Advanced Custom) placed 1st as National Champions! What an INCREDIBLE NATIONAL SWEEP!
BJ Scholars’ Bowl Team will be receiving scholarship awards for those members who participated in the TV tournament last fall. The students who participated in the TV tournament were: Louis Johnson, Alex Milonopoulos & Steven Pan.
BJ Baseball (35-10) played only Game 1 in the Elite 8 state quarter finals at Hewitt Trussville in the 2nd Round Matchup due to the rainy weather over the weekend. Game 1 was an intense and awesome 10-inning game with BJ winning 1-0 over #1 ranked Hewitt. Game 2 will be played in Hewitt on Monday at 4:30 and Game 3 will be played at 7:00, if needed. GO BJ!
BJ Track & Field competed at State in Gulf Shores! Our Boys teams finished in 5th place & the Girls placed in 9th.
The Girls team was led by Alivia Urrutia who won 1st place in the 400 Meter Dash & is a back to back 7A State Champion. Alivia teamed with Kalah Christopher, Molly Halter, and Zoey Harris to win 2nd place in the 4x400 Meter Relay & they set a new outdoor season school record with a time of 3:55.99. Molly Halter & Zoey Harris both had stellar senior seasons; Molly will finish her track career as the 4th fastest 1600 Meter Runner & 6th fastest 800 Meter Runner in program history for the Outdoor Season.
Senior Caleb Johnson led the way for the Boys with an exciting down to the wire 800 Meter Run that gave him a 2nd place finish. His time of 1:54.93 is now the fastest time in school history for both the indoor & outdoor seasons. Caleb teamed with Colt Dixon, Elijah Wells & Zathian Webster to bring home the silver medal in the 4x400 Meter Relay. Our sprint relay teams continued their pursuit for excellence with another 2nd place finish by Brandon Carter, Caleb Sanders, Colt Dixon & Zathian Webster. Colt Dixon added to his outstanding senior season by securing 3rd place in the 300 Meter Hurdles. Senior Jahden Reeves placed 2ndl in the 110 Meter Hurdles & recorded the 4th fastest time in school history.

GIRLS
Kalah Christopher: 5th in 300 Meter Hurdles & 6th in Long Jump;
Zoey Harris: 6th in 300 Meter Hurdles;
Jasmyne Rochelle: 6th in High Jump;
Aaliyah Wright (7th Grade); Ami Marks; Molly Halter; Sydney Darnell (8th Grade): 8th in 4x800 Meter Relay;
BOYS
Zathian Webster: 4th in 200 Meter Dash; 5th in 100 Meter Dash;

BJ ESports: BJ Fusion WON STATE for their 9th straight state championship in Rocket League at Huntington College! BJ has won the E-Sports State Championship in Rocket League 11 times in a row, which is absolutely incredible! Players are Luke Scherer, Jonah Brooks, Max Dunkerley & Rylan Barden.
Corey Robinson competed at E-Sports State in Madden and finished as State Runner-Up! He has won State 3 previous times!
BJ Marvel won the 1st ever Marvel Rivals LAN tournament at UNA. Players are Max Franson, Joseph Park, Keegan Malone, Connor Frye, Lauren Hopkinson, Elijah Bruer & Davin Nazario.
North AL Regional Science and Engineering Fair: Congrats to Nikita Probhakar who was selected as ISEF finalist and will represent BJHS & North AL at the 2025 Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair in Ohio in May.
BJ Golf Girls & Boys competed at Sectionals at Huntsville Country Club and played very well! Michael Irons finished 4th overall at sectionals with a 74, made the All-Tournament Team at the 7A Sectionals, and will advance to substate as an individual at Hampton Cove next week. What a great effort all season by our BJ golfers!
BJ Soccer Girls played at Grissom in the 1st round of Playoffs and this was a hard-fought game. BJ lost 0-1 to end our season. I am so proud of all of our Girls!
BJ Soccer Boys played in 1st round of Playoffs v Huntsville winning 1-0 in a super tough game with a goal late in the game! In the 2nd round of Playoffs, our Boys played Grissom on Saturday. This was an intense game that went into O/T with a loss 3-4. I am so proud of our Boys!
BJ Cross Country Try-outs for the 2025 BJHS Cross Country team will be held Thursday & Friday, May 8th & 9th for rising 7th - 12th graders zoned for Bob Jones. Anyone interested in trying out should meet in the cafeteria after school. Middle School students may ride the athletic bus to Bob Jones. We will have a short information meeting before heading to the track. Students will need a current physical to try-out. For all information about try-outs, please click HERE. If you are interested in being part of the Cross Country Team, please complete the Cross Country Information Form.
