Mrs. Kimberly Stewart



Mrs. Stewart attended St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri and earned a bachelor's degree in biology as well as a Middle School Teacher Certification.  Additionally, she earned her master's degree in Education Administration and Supervision from Grand Canyon University.


Mrs. Stewart has 14.5 years of experience as a successful classroom teacher.  She taught 6th grade science for one year at Compton Drew ILC Middle School in St. Louis, MO.  She then taught 7th grade language arts for 13.5 years at Discovery Middle School.  Mrs. Stewart began her career in administration as the Assistant Principal of Horizon Elementary School in January 2011.  After 4.5 years at Horizon, she had the opportunity to transfer to Discovery Middle School and serve as Assistant Principal of Curriculum. After two successful years in that role, Mrs. Stewart was named the principal of Discovery Middle School in June of 2017. 


Mrs. Stewart is a native of St. Louis, MO, but she has been a resident of Madison since 1997. She is married and the proud mother of one daughter and one son.  Much of  her free time is spent with her family and chauffeuring her children to various activities.  In addition to those activities, she enjoys reading, cooking, and scrapbooking.
