Education

Mrs. Clifton completed her undergraduate studies (B.S. in International Business) in Germany (Reutlingen University) and her Master's in Business Administration (MBA) at Portland State University. She also completed her Master's in Education from Johns Hopkins University while living and teaching in Maryland.

Experience

She has been a teacher since 2007. She first taught for 7 years at a private school in Alabama and was primarily the German teacher (high school), as well as Elementary and Middle School Spanish teacher. She then spent 5 years in Baltimore City teaching at the Elementary level. Between 2019-2023 she worked part-time in a variety of different positions to include Adult Education ESL classes, online classes and working as a private tutor. In August 2023 Mrs. Clifton accepted the position as a German teacher here in Madison City. 

Biography

Mrs. Clifton is a native German speaker and was born in Frankfurt, Germany. She speaks English, German, and some Spanish and French. She grew up living in Brazil, the United States, India, and Germany.  Her passion has always been teaching, and she has been fortunate that her career has allowed her to stay within Education. Outside of teaching, she is busy with her family, gardening, and yoga. She is married with 2 children, dogs and cats. Mrs. Clifton has lived in Madison since 2019. As a family, they enjoy going for walks, bike rides, and going to the beach or pool.
