Spanish Classes Overview

Spanish Survey A & B are both 9-week courses intended to introduce students to the world of Spanish. We learn basic conversational skills, functional vocabulary, and really dive into the cultures and products of various Spanish-speaking countries. These courses are open to 7th and 8th grade students.

Spanish 1 is a high school level credit course. This course is open to 8th graders only. Spanish 1 is a year-round course; by the end of the year, students can read, write, listen, and speak all about their world in Spanish. We study units such as school, home, family, travel, food, and more. In each unit, we interact with Hispanic culture and make real-world connections to the content we're studying. Upon completion, students will earn a high school credit and contribute to their high school GPA.
