Education

Mrs. Milam graduated from Athens State University. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She holds an Alabama Professional Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education (K - 6) and Middle School Mathematics (4 - 8).

Experience

Mrs. Milam began her career in education in Huntsville City Schools. She taught three years of 6th grade at the Academy for Academics & Arts. She then taught three years for VIPkid, a virtual platform teaching students in China the English language. She then returned to Huntsville City for two years teaching 6th grade at Highlands Elementary School. She became a member of the Discovery Middle School faculty in June of 2022. 

Biography

Mrs. Milam attended Bob Jones High School and Athens State University. She danced locally in Madison and was on the dance team in high school and college. After college, she went on to pursue her love of dance as a professional ballroom dancer in Nashville, before entering her career in education. She currently resides in Harvest with her husband and twin boys, Zeke and Mac. She loves to travel, go to the movies, and spend time with her family.
