Education

Mrs. Alyssa Allen is a dedicated educator with seven years of teaching experience. She began her career as a sixth-grade math teacher for 4.5 years before transitioning to special education, where she spent 2.5 years developing her expertise in supporting diverse learning needs. Currently, she serves as the sixth-grade collaborative ELA teacher at Discovery Middle School, where she plans to passionately engage her students.

Experience

Mrs. Allen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Collaborative from Athens State University. Her love for teaching middle school led her to broaden her horizons and achieve certification to teach collaborative education for grades 6-12.

Hobbies

In her free time, Mrs. Allen enjoys lifting weights and spending quality time with her family. She is also focused on her professional growth, with plans to earn a Master’s Degree in School Psychometry or Behavioral Sciences to enhance her knowledge and skills in special education.
