Education

 Mrs. Haselden graduated from the University of Alabama-Huntsville and earned her degree in Elementary Education.

Experience

 Mrs. Haselden began her teaching career at Heritage Elementary under the guidance of the fabulous Dr. Davenport.  When Rainbow Elementary opened their doors, she transferred there as a 1st grade teacher.  While teaching first grade, Mrs. Haselden helped score the off-grade writing assessments for the district and discovered her love of teaching writing and moved to the 6th Grade team.  She taught every single subject imaginable as a 6th grade teacher.  One day, they even let her teach PE.  When the district moved 6th grade to the middle school, she followed her grade level to Discovery Middle School. The 24/25 school year will be her 25th year as a teacher.

Biography

Mrs. Haselden grew up in the Bahamas and South Florida, spent her early adult years in the mid-west and west coast. She has lived in Alabama since 1995.  She has almost used the word "ya'll," coming close to attaining Southern Belle status.  She and her ever-patient husband have two children and 1 crazy cat, Boba.  Some of her hobbies include doing nothing, tennis, swimming, and several attempts at running.  Mrs. Haselden has competed in several State and Sectional tennis tournaments but has yet to win a championship.
