Education

Mr. Hamilton is a graduate of Athens State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. He holds an Alabama Professional Teaching Certificate in Mathematics 6-12, Computer Science Essentials, and Computer Science Discoveries.

Experience

Mr. Hamilton taught mathematics at Anniston High School from 2012-2018. Mr. Hamilton then taught mathematics and computer science at West Point Middle School from 2018-2021 before joining Discovery Middle School in 2021. Mr. Hamilton currently teaches Math 8 and Accelerated Math 8. He is also an Assistant Coach for the 7th and 8th Grade Boys Basketball teams and the DMS Boys Soccer team.

Mr. Hamilton has 9 total years of coaching experience in soccer, along with 8 years of head coaching experience for Varsity Boys Soccer and 5 years for Varsity Girls Soccer. Mr. Hamilton also has a year of experience coaching MS Boys Basketball and Varsity Boys Cross-Country in the state of Alabama.

Biography

Mr. Hamilton is a native of Cullman, Alabama. He is a big University of Alabama fan. Roll Tide! In his free time, he enjoys being active and playing sports, including soccer, tennis, basketball, and golf. He likes to go to Nashville and Atlanta to watch soccer games. He enjoys watching Formula One races on TV. Mr. Hamilton likes to spend his free time traveling, finding nice restaurants to eat at, watching Disney+, and spending time with family and friends.
