About Me

I have worked at Bob Jones High School in Madison, Alabama since 2008, and I’ve been the Library Media Specialist since the fall of 2012. I am National Board Certified in Library Media and a member of ALA, AASL, ASLA, YALSA, and American Mensa. I received my undergraduate degree at Huntingdon College in Montgomery on full academic scholarship, and then received two master's degrees - one in English, the other in Secondary Education - from the University of Alabama at Huntsville, a few years later. I completed my third master's degree in Library Information Studies at the University of Alabama in 2011 and was awarded the Corr Scholarship Award from the School of Library and Information Studies. Roll Tide! I currently live on a small, 33-acre farm with my husband, son (a Bob Jones graduate), and a variety of animals. When I’m not creating instructional presentations and handouts, I enjoy reading nonfiction and YA novels, crafting, and binge-watching my favorite shows on Netflix.
