I am originally from Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada. For those unfamiliar with the Maritimes, put on a thick sweater, and take a deep right once you hit northern Maine. For most of my young life, I was an Air Force brat, living coast to coast in Canada. Once my father retired from the Air Force, my parents finally settled in New Brunswick with myself and three older brothers. 

I met my husband of 35 years in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where we both attended Dalhousie University. Employment has led us from Halifax to Montreal, Quebec, where our two sons were born, Boston, Massachusetts, Atlanta, Georgia, and finally, here. 

This is my nineteenth year teaching in sunny Alabama. I spent nine years teaching at Huntsville High School prior to coming to the Bob ten years ago. The majority of my instructional time has been spent teaching various honors classes and AP 12 Literature and Composition; however, I have taught all grade levels.

My singular passion is all things English Literature and I bring this love into the classroom. My goal is to not only share this love and inspire my students but to help them acquire those necessary skills that will empower them no matter where they go. Language, and more simply, words, are power.

In addition to teaching, I am an avid dog lover, a frequent runner, and when I can manage it, a writer.
