Education

Mrs. Brooks graduated from Troy University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 1999.  In 2007, Mrs. Brooks graduated from Jacksonville State University with a Master’s in Nursing with an emphasis on Community Health Nursing. 

Experience

Throughout her 24 years in nursing, Mrs. Brooks has had the opportunity to work in various fields of nursing. With young children, Mrs. Brooks spent her first few years as a school nurse before becoming a nursing instructor at Chattahoochee Valley Community College. In 2014, Mrs. Brooks became the director of education at a major hospital in Columbus, Georgia and later a chief nursing officer in Birmingham. Now, coming full circle, Mrs. Brooks has spent the past two years teaching health science where she enjoys enlightening young minds to the many avenues of the future medical community.

Biography

Mrs. Brooks has been married to her high school sweetheart for 35 years and blessed with a son and daughter.  Although the nest is empty now, Mrs. Brooks gets to shower her grandson and two granddaughters with love and special “Mimi” treats.
