Coach LaParis James-Basketball Cheer
Hello!
I'm Coach James, the Head Basketball Cheer Coach for Journey Middle School. This will be my fourth year taking on a coaching role for Basketball Cheer. I started my coaching career as an assistant coach. During this time, I had the opportunity to learn and take in so much information. The following year, I took on the role of head coach for Basketball Cheer. I loved every minute of it! I've enjoyed getting to meet so many young ladies and helping them by strengthening or teaching them new skills. I look forward to helping young girls grow confidence in themselves, as well as make new friends by creating a welcoming culture and the best basketball game atmosphere for our school. I'm so excited to be a part of the Journey team and can not wait to see what basketball season holds! Go Jags!

Coach Eryn Troy-Competition Cheer
Hello Jaguars Fans! My name is Eryn Troy, and I am ecstatic to be part of the Journey family as the assistant competition cheer coach. With eight years of experience in competition cheerleading, I look forward to continuing my education and development while also creating a program that leaves a legacy for many years. I have been passionate about all things cheer-related since the beginning of middle school when I was first introduced to the world of cheer. The amount of skills and personal development I experienced helped make me who I am today, from the discipline and confidence to the support system of my team and coaches. My goal is to not only prepare each athlete to become a better cheerleader but also a better person.
