Bonjour!  My name is Madame Hamlett, and I will teach French at Journey this year.  I am thrilled to be back in Madison City and excited to be a part of the Jaguar family.  I grew up in North Alabama and took French in high school.  I fell in love with the language and culture, and was able to travel to France in my senior year!  I continued studying French in college, along with courses to become an elementary and middle school teacher, and ultimately decided to get a degree in both.  I have been teaching middle school and high school for several years and have worked at several schools, including James Clemens, Liberty, and most recently, Sparkman High School.  I have also taught online, university classes, and have worked in adult education.  I even spent a year teaching English in Germany!

 

I live in Madison with my husband and our four children.  I love to spend time with my family and one of our favorite things to do together is travel.  This year, we were able to spend ten days in France and visit Belgium and Germany while we were there.  I cannot wait to share my experiences and my passion for French with you and look forward to learning more about you and your interests, as well.
