Mr. Mitchell West

Hello! I am extremely excited to be joining the team at Journey Middle. I was born and raised in the area. I graduated from Hazel Green before getting my Bachelor's in psychology from the University of Alabama, and my master's in collaborative education from the University of West Alabama. I have previously worked as a collaborative teacher at Walnut Grove Elementary and a SPED paraprofessional at Madison County Elementary.

 
I live in Madison with my wife and our 8-year-old son. In my personal time, I enjoy watching movies and football (Roll Tide!), and my wife and I go to concerts whenever we can. 
 
I can't stress enough how excited I am to work with your children, and I'm looking forward to getting to know the Journey community at large. Go, Jags!
