Welcome to my teacher page, Journey Jaguars! In addition to teaching Honors ELA 8 and ELA 8, I am the Student Government Association Sponsor. 

Prior to teaching, I served in the United States Navy as an Electronics Technician, Petty Officer Third Class. I hail from York, PA and have a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education/English and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership. Before relocating to Madison City Schools, I taught 7th grade ELA at Spring Grove Area Middle School in Spring Grove, PA. In my spare time, I enjoy crocheting, reading, writing, and spending time with my family and pets. I am the proud parent of a college freshman, a seventh grader, and four-year-old twin girls. 

I love watching students grow as readers and writers. Every child is a reader—they just haven't found the right book. The same holds true for writing. Please review the MCS Summer Reading Website, which which is linked below this bio.
