Hello. I’m Coach Beavers, and I am excited to join the Journey Middle School team! I recently moved to Huntsville from Prattville, Alabama, where I taught at Prattville High School for 23 years. Subjects I taught include algebra, geometry, statistics, and pre-calculus.

 

 After graduating from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, I worked as a statistician for the State of Alabama. In my spare time, I coached and tutored, which developed my love for working with children, and so I pursued a teaching career.

 

I love athletics, play college football, and have been coaching for 28 years. In addition to coaching football, basketball, and soccer at Prattville High School, I coached soccer for the Capital City Streaks and the River Regions Rapids. I also coached soccer camps for Auburn University Montgomery and the University of Alabama Huntsville. I hold an advanced regional diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
