Mr. William Scott Smith
Mr. Smith earned a Bachelors of Psychology/Sociology from Athens State University in 2002. He then went on to acquire a Bachelors of Education from Athens State in 2007. In 2015, Mr. Smith received a Masters of Educational Leadership from the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
Mr. Smith began his public school teaching career in 2004. He has taught fourth, fifth, seventh and eighth grades, but has spent most of his time in seventh grade teaching life science. Prior to public education, Mr. Smith worked in retail management and business ownership. He has pastored or assisted in pastoring for twenty years and has worked construction and/or remodeling houses for over twenty-five years.
Mr. Smith is a native Southerner. He is married, has one son and lives in his hometown of Hillsboro, Alabama. In addition to teaching, Mr. Smith pastors, writes contemporary Christian songs and plays piano. When he has spare time, he enjoys hiking, gardening and grilling out with family and friends.
