Assistant Band Director

Mrs. Janzen is in her 29th year in education, spending 27 years in nearby East Limestone High School as head director of the beginner band, jr. high band, and marching bands, as well as several performing ensembles. 

She earned both her Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in music education from the University of North Alabama. She also earned a Master's in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama. 

Mrs. Janzen lives in East Limestone with her wonderful husband, incredible child, loyal pup, and 3 lazy cats that probably gang up on the dog when no one is watching!

Fun Fact: Mrs. Janzen graduated from Bob Jones High School in 1990 from the building that is now Discovery Middle School!
