Education
Ms. Abney attended Calhoun Communty College where she earned her Associate Degree of General Education with a concentration in English (2013). She then transfered to Athens State University to earn a Bachelor Arts in Visual Art with a minor in Education as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Education (2017 - Summa Cum Laude).
Experience
Before graduating, Ms. Abney completed her student teaching at Sparkman Ninth Grade School and Tanner Elementary. In 2018, she began her teaching career at Discovery, and has been there since.
Biography
Ms. Abney and her military family moved across the U.S. a bit before landing in Alabama. Now she is glad to say that Alabama is home. During her free time, she enjoys painting, playing guitar, and spending time with her friends and family (including her two Corgis).
