Coach Corey Evans - Head Football Coach
“I can’t tell you how honored and privileged I feel to join Journey Middle School as your head football coach! Coaches dream of opportunities to be a part of a program with great support from the community and the school system, so the opportunity to be here was too great to pass up. The goal of our program will be to develop the entire student-athlete. It’s not enough to just produce players who will compete with great passion and intensity but also young men who will compete in life with the toughness and discipline that life requires out of them. Simply put, our goal will be to, as Vince Lombardi put it, “Run to Win”.
We want as many young men as possible to join our program and help build something that not only our school can be proud of but something that will make them better people because they were a part of Journey Football.” Go Jags!

Coach Jimmy Evans-Assistant Football Coach
Hi JMS Football fans! My name is Jimmy Evans, and I am excited to be a part of the football coaching staff at Journey Middle School. I look forward to participating in this program and working with our student-athletes to help them maximize their potential on and off the field.
In my opinion, there is no greater sport than football! Whether from my playing days, coaching, or general involvement in the sport for many years, I have learned that no other sport prepares our athletes for the game of life better than football! Football teaches the valuable life lessons of dedication, hard work, discipline, teamwork, and respect. All of which are five extremely valuable lessons our athletes will benefit from for a lifetime.
Go Jags!
