Welcome to 2nd grade!!

I am thrilled to begin my 16th year of teaching! I absolutely love being a teacher and knew from a very early age it was what I was born to do. I hope my students always see that I am learning something new every day with them!

I am from Mobile, AL and moved to Huntsville after marrying my husband in 2012. He grew up here! I have been privileged to teach 1st-5th grades in both public and private schools in Mobile and Madison Counties prior to working with Madison City. I began teaching at West Madison in 2016 and taught 1st and 2nd. I moved over to Midtown when West Madison closed. I found that my heart lies within the lower elementary ages and teaching students to read!

I am married to James, and we have two children, Caroline and Thomas. They are my world! When I'm not at school, you can normally find me running around town with my crew to church, taking Thomas to the ballpark, or taking Caroline to dance. I love baking, running, being outside with my family, lying in the sun at the beach, and shopping online! We are avid sports fans and love cheering on the TIDE!
