Hey! My name is Melissa Knowlton. I am honored to be teaching second grade at Midtown! I previously taught in Arizona in addition to other districts in North Alabama; grades 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th. 

This is my eighth year teaching, and fourth year teaching second grade in Alabama. Second grade has my heart! I also love coaching robotics. 

I'm originally from Arizona. I moved with my husband Jon and our children; Connor, Gracie, Parker, and Wyatt to North AL. When my own children started attending MCS, I knew MCS was where I desired to teach and make a difference. My children go to JCHS and Liberty. 

When I am not at school, I am usually spending time with my family, my dogs, my friends, relaxing by the pool, or shopping.
