My name is Bethany Kachelman, and I am one of the EL Teachers at Midtown Elementary. I teach English Language Development instruction for the Kindergarten -5th grades. I have Degrees in Both Elementary Education K-6th grade and English as a Second Language Specialist. I love what I do, and I am thrilled to be part of Madison City Schools each day. I have been teaching for 15 years and absolutely love teaching students of other languages to learn English! I am originally from Tennessee, but have lived in Madison, AL for a number of years with my husband and our 2 boys. I am a world traveler and love world culture and languages. In my free time, I enjoy reading, being outside in nature, and spending time with family and friends. I have a passion for teaching Multilingual Learners and I look forward to a fantastic year at Midtown Elementary, where I hope to be a support for you and your children and their teachers as well.
