Terrena Hope Gonzalez Mann has over thirty-five years of experience as a performing arts educator, playwright, performer, producer, director, and choreographer; and has performed in, directed, written, and/or choreographed 65+ theatrical shows in Texas, California, Tennessee, and Alabama; as well as Six Flags, Dollywood, and internationally televised Ed McMahon’s Star Search. Last year (our inaugural year), Mrs. Mann's JMS Intermediate Theatre performed the play "Persephone" and the Advanced Theatre class performed the musical "Annie, Jr."
As a small business owner of Hopefool Productions in Madison, she taught voice, piano, and basic acting skills from 2011 to 2019, before becoming a middle school and high school theatre teacher at a private school. Mrs. Mann is excited about the upcoming school year, which will be her second year as a Journey Jag. Mann has worked as a teaching artist, directed and performed in shows, and served on the board at Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theatre and Academy, as well as choreographed for Merrimack Hall’s Dance Your Dreams Program. She has performed in, assistant directed, and choreographed several shows for Huntsville Community Chorus Association since 2010. Last summer, her work as a technical theatre creative and designer was featured at the Alabama Center for the Arts Gallery, which displayed images and video of her work in their exhibition: The Art of Decatur Theatre!
