Welcome to 2nd grade!

Hello! My name is Abby Cantrell, and I am thrilled to be your child's 2nd grade teacher this year! I was born and raised in Hazel Green, Alabama. I graduated from the University of North Alabama with both my Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Elementary Education. Roar Lions!

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, traveling to the beach and lake, eating sweet treats, exercising, and shopping! My favorite restaurant is Rosie's, and I am a huge Starbucks iced coffee lover! 

My favorite part about teaching is that I get to learn alongside my students each day. My goal as an educator is to always be intentional and do whatever I can to help my students grow, not just academically, but socially, emotionally, and behaviorally, too! I am so excited about this school year! Go Wildcats!
