Please remember to check the green folder coming home daily- if they didn't lose a ticket you wil se a stamp or a sticker. If they lost a ticket students will be responsible for informing you why they lost a ticket. Please don't let them tell you, "I don't remember why I lost a ticket" I promise they have discussed it with me in great detail. Please return the form the next school day. Please don't spend a lot of time reprimanding your child for tickets 1-3. It's a time of learning and understanding what is appropriate. If they lose 4 or 5, you will want to have a more lengthy discussion with your child. I try and put a pic of the form in Seesaw when they are coming home. Sometimes, there is just not time for me to do it. This is why is is very important to develop that daily routine of checking folders and returning them back into their book bag for them to bring back to school.
Please check the school calendar/website often for important school-wide info.Monday and Tuesday we will be DIBEL testing.Reading - Unit 1 Week 1Math - Understanding Addition and SubtractionScience - PlantsSocial Studies - Landforms
We have been learning about our morning tasks and one task is to "park" your folder in the garage ( which is their desk). Another task is to put notes/money/forms from home in the inbox on my desk ( I have a magnetic organizer). It will help if you share with them what you are sending. Then, they will be more likely to remember to put it in the inbox. This is particularly important with lunch money and transportation changes. Those need to be taken care of first thing in the morning.
This Friday, we had our first Fun Day Friday! You may purchase a snack at FDF. Bring in $1.00 if you would like to purchase one. Any money sent to school needs to be sent in your child’s folder and labeled with name and what the money is for. If you purchased a snack card from PTA, your child will not need money.Again, thank you for all of your kind words of support and your donations to our classroom.
