I began my teaching journey at Lascasses Elementary School in Rutherford County Tennessee where I taught 1st and 4th grades.  Then, I moved to Thurman Francis Arts Academy where I taught 5th, 7th, and 8th grades for the next 4 years.  My journey then led me to Columbia Elementary in Madison, Alabama.  I helped open Columbia in 2004 and taught 5th grade Math.  After 9 wonderful years, I moved down to 2nd grade and taught Math and Science for 1 1/2 years.  At this time, I moved to a newly created Math Specialist postion for the school system.  For a year and a half I had the oportunity to work with all elementary math teachers providing math support to all grade levels K-6.  Now, I am back where I started in Madison City Schools - teaching 5th grade at Columbia Elementary, and I could not be happier!!!  This is home!
