Hello! I am so excited to be the Library Media Specialist here at Midtown Elementary! I am looking forward to spreading the love of reading to each and every student that enters our library.

I grew up in Madison City and proudly attended Horizon, Rainbow, Discovery, and Bob Jones! I began my teaching journey in 2013 after completing my degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Alabama. I was lucky to be a teacher in Madison County for six years, teaching third grade. It is there that my passion for teaching and inspiring reading developed and I decided to begin the process of obtaining my Masters in Library Media. I graduated with this Masters Degree from the University of West Alabama in 2020 and started my first year in the library that year as well. I am so excited to be able to open our Midtown library from day one with our students! What an awesome adventure it will be.
