Hi! I’m Mrs. Nunez, and I’m excited to join Columbia Elementary as a new English Language Teacher. I have five years of teaching experience working with Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Second Grade students. This is my first year focusing on English Learners. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Alabama State University. I love helping students discover their strengths, build confidence, and grow. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging classroom environment where every child feels valued and inspired.

My husband and I have a 3-year-old son, and we moved to the Madison area in June from Montgomery. We love traveling as a family and spending quality time together. In my free time, I enjoy reading, going to the beach, exercising, and doing crafty projects. I’m excited to be a Columbia Astro and look forward to sharing my expertise while learning and growing with students and colleagues.
