• I am excited to be your child's teacher this year. This is my 21st year in education. I have taught at Columbia since it opened in 2004. I have taught both 3rd and 4th grades. I have a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree both in Elementary Education from UNA. I also have an admin certificate from UNA. I am a Nationally Board Certified Teacher. My husband, Andrew is an engineer and we have 2 kids together. Leah is at James Clemens and Eli is at Columbia.

Welcome to 3rd grade! 

My name is Karen Jump and I will be your child's teacher this year. I am orginally from Cullman, AL. I have both my Bachelor's and Master's from the University of North Alabama (UNA). I began teaching at Columbia when the school opened in 2004 when the school opened. I have taught 3rd and 4th grade at Columbia. I am also a Nationally Board Certified teacher.

 

I am married and have 2 children. My daughter Leah attends Liberty Middle School and my son Eli attends Columbia Elementary School.
