Hello! :) My name is Katherine Boyd. I am very excited to be teaching 4th grade at Heritage this year! I was born and raised in Hoover, Alabama. I received my Bachelor's degree from Auburn University and my Master's degree from UAB. I have been in education for 14 years. I taught 1st grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and I was a Math Interventionist. I taught in Birmingham before moving to Madison in 2020. I have loved teaching 1st grade the past 3 years at Heritage, but I'm excited to go back to teaching 4th grade math and science again! :) 

My family includes my wonderful husband, our sweet 10 year-old daughter, and our adorable dogs: a Golden Retriever and Miniature Dachshund! I absolutely love teaching! My students always bring me so much joy! I love the opportunity to encourage them and make a difference in their lives! Besides teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to beautiful places like the lake, beach, or mountains, traveling, hiking, and playing with our adorable puppies!  I can't wait to get to know you and your children! I know we are going to have a GREAT year! :)
