Hello! I'm Gina Wood.
I grew up as a military "brat" living all over the United States and Panama. After graduating from Texas Woman's University with a degree in Education for the Hearing Impaired, I married my high school pen-pal Greg who was in the military. We continued to live wherever the Air Force sent us every 2 to 3 years, including Wyoming, Colorado, Florida, Utah, and California just to name a few. While living in Ohio, I received my certification for Elementary Education. I have taught pre-K, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.
We have four amazing children; our oldest, Jonathan, graduated from Auburn and now works in Opelika with his wife Addy. Daniel, our second son, also graduated from Auburn and is working with the Trash Pandas. Our daughter, Rebecca, who is a senior at The University of Alabama; and our son, Anthony, who attends Liberty Middle School.
My husband retired from the military in 2018 and we moved to Madison where, for the first time in my life, I have a permanent place to call home!
When I am not at school I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, and traveling with my family.
I look forward to the adventures this year brings!
